The 2026 Apple Harvest has begun!
This weekend we have Zestar!, Paula Red, and a few Ginger Gold.
Zestar is a tart & sweet mix that is great for fresh eating or baking that first apple pie.
Paula Red is slightly tart and juicy and makes great applesauce.
Ginger Gold is a terrific fresh eating apple.
Note: We have just started to pick the Ginger Gold.
Smaller quantities will be available Saturday with more coming as we get the apples sorted.
We will be at the downtown Cheboygan Farmer’s Market
Saturday, September 5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The orchard location is open September 5th & 6th—
the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.
Hours: Saturday 10 - 5 & Sunday Noon - 5
The pumpkin and squash vines are a field of large green leaves!
We get glimpses of the orange pumpkins through the vines so we know that they are growing.
It is always a surprise when the end of September rolls around.
As usual, we expect the Pumpkin Patch to be open the last weekend in September.

Welcome to Golden River Orchard, a first-generation, family-owned and operated orchard nestled near Cheboygan, Michigan, established in 2002. Managed by the dedicated duo, Steve and Mary Crusoe, along with the invaluable support of their cherished family and friends, the orchard is a labor of love. Enjoy freshly harvested apples, a bounty of squash, and 'you-pick' pumpkins during the fall season. We invite you to come and experience the orchard firsthand!
