We hope you are enjoying summer! It goes by so quickly.

We expect to be open at the orchard the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.

The early variety apples appear to be sizing up. It is hard to believe we will be starting to pick our earliest varieties Zestar and Paula Red sometime in the next two weeks. The Ginger Gold are ready sometime in the first two weeks of September.

Please check back as we try to update the website each week on Thursday or Friday morning.

The pumpkin and squash vines are a field of large green leaves! We get glimpses of pumpkins and squash through the vines so we know that they are growing. It is always a surprise when the end of September rolls around.

As usual, we expect the pumpkin patch to be open the last weekend in September.

Welcome to Golden River Orchard, a first-generation, family-owned and operated orchard nestled near Cheboygan, Michigan, established in 2002. Managed by the dedicated duo, Steve and Mary Crusoe, along with the invaluable support of their cherished family and friends, the orchard is a labor of love. Enjoy freshly harvested apples, a bounty of squash, and 'you-pick' pumpkins during the fall season. We invite you to come and experience the orchard firsthand!
